Your Command Center

Your books, posts, outreach, email list, customers, sponsors, media appearances, your own classes, the calls people book with you, a chatbot for your website and apps and games made from your book - one program, on your own computer, with one home screen that shows all of it. At the top of that screen: Moving forward - your Joy Looper check-in, your 90 days and the kit you are on, so the business and the plan sit side by side.

1. Pick what you want

Take all seventeen, or just the ones you need. It opens with exactly those switched on. Want more later? Every piece is already inside it - add one from Add more on its home screen, or tick it here and your Command Center switches it on by itself the next time it checks your key (Settings > Check again now does it straight away). Each one you add joins the home screen, the calendar and Ask at once.

BooksBookkeeping like QuickBooks: your bank feed, categories, profit and loss, a tax summary, net worth.
Social SchedulerA library of posts that goes out on its own to Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Threads, X, Pinterest, Discord - and anywhere Zapier or Pabbly reach.
Outreach BoardEveryone you have worked with, why, and a check-in draft for each, every quarter.
EmailYour list, newsletters and welcome sequences, sent through your own email service - and who on it is worth knowing.
CustomersEveryone who has already paid you, from your Stripe, Shopify, Kickstarter or PayPal exports - and who to write to first.
SponsorsCompanies on your list that could sponsor you, your sponsors, each placement against the clicks it got, and a rate card.
MediaPodcasts, shows and stages: who to pitch, when to follow up, and which appearances actually brought people in.
Classes & CohortsRun your own class or cohort: applications, the people in it, small groups, every session with its recording, and the emails a class needs. Plus community challenges: a few days, one small task a day, done together on your own page.
Calls & BookingsThe calls people book with you, who each person is to your business, your notes and the follow-up, and which calls turn into customers.
Your ChatbotA chat for your website that answers visitors from your own newsletters, posts and files - and every conversation comes back to you.
Apps & GamesTurn your book into an app (a quiz, lessons, practice moments, a daily practice) and a pack of games - one file you can sell or give away.
Support InboxEvery question from your customers in one place - your support mailbox, your website's contact form and what your chatbot could not answer - answered from your own email address.
Testimonials & ReviewsWho to ask (the people who bought twice, finished your class or thanked you), a short form for them, your approval, and their words on quote cards and a wall on your site. Plus every public review of your books and podcasts - Goodreads and Apple Podcasts on their own, Amazon and the other stores with one click - and what readers come to you for, in their own words.
Affiliates & ReferralsA code and a link for everyone who sends you customers, the sales they sent, what you owe them, and their own numbers.
MembershipsThe people who pay you every month or year - from Stripe, Patreon or a spreadsheet - with your monthly income, who just joined, whose payment is failing and who is leaving.
Blog WriterPosts for your blog in your own voice, from your own material and the questions your customers ask, sent to WordPress or Ghost and turned into social posts and a newsletter.
SerialsYour books as serials: readers get one chapter a week by email, on the day they pick, with the whole book to buy through your own Stripe - and a reader app of your books.

Pick your computer. It is the same program for all seventeen tools - the ones you picked above are the ones that open.

3. Your license key

The program asks for this the first time it opens. It is the only thing it ever sends to Joy Looper - twice a day, to check your account is still active.

When your computer is off

Your website

WordPress

The plugin adds a signup form (the "Joy Looper signup" block, or [jltk_signup]), hosts your unsubscribe page, and keeps signups safe on your site until your Command Center collects them - so it works with a laptop. Install it from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Substack...

The home screen

The Command Center opens on one page that shows what is happening across all of it: money in and out this month, cash, your list and who to watch on it, the next posts, this quarter's outreach, who to write to first, sponsor money owed, your next appearance, and a calendar of the next two weeks with everything on it. Anything that needs you sits in a strip at the top. Arrange lets you move panels up or down (or drag them), make them wide or small, and hide the ones you do not use; it remembers.

Ask about your business

Every page has an Ask button. Ask it anything about your own business - "what needs me this week?", "what did I spend the most on this year?", "which newsletter did best, and why?", "who bought once and never came back?" - and it answers in plain words from your own data, looking up your books, list, newsletters, customers, sponsors, appearances, outreach, your classes, your calls and what visitors asked your chatbot as it needs to, and says what it looked at. It only reads: it never sends, posts, files or changes anything. It runs on your own AI key (Anthropic or OpenAI, added in Settings > Your AI), so each question is billed to you by them - usually a fraction of a cent. The conversation stays on your computer.

At the top of Ask, pick who you are asking. Your CFO reads only the money - Books, Customers, Members, Affiliates and Sponsors: what came in, what went out, who owes you. Your CMO reads only the marketing - Email, Social, Blog, Testimonials & Reviews, Serials, Outreach and Media: what worked, who to pitch, what to write next. Your CEO reads everything and gives you a weekly review and the three things to do this week. Each keeps its own conversation.

Your own AI program (MCP)

Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and other AI programs can read and work with your books, posts, outreach, list, customers, sponsors and appearances - "what did I spend on software this year?", "who bought twice and is not on my list?", "draft a newsletter about the tour". In the Command Center, Settings > "Use it from Claude..." gives you the exact lines to paste. It never sends an email or a post by itself; those stay drafts for you. The CFO, CMO and CEO come with it as prompts (in Claude Desktop, the + button): pick one and the conversation starts in that role, reading first and asking before it changes anything.

Questions

Where is my data, and does Joy Looper see it?

On your computer, in a folder called "Command Center" in your home folder (or on your server). If you used the Joy Looper Toolkit before, it keeps using your "Joy Looper Toolkit" folder, so nothing moves. Joy Looper sees your license key being checked - and, if you check in from the Command Center's home page, that check-in (your 1-7 and your note), which goes into your Joy Looper account like a check-in in the app. Nothing else: not your transactions, posts, contacts, subscribers or settings. (Settings in the Command Center switches the check-in panel off.) If you add your own AI key, what a question needs goes to that AI company (Anthropic or OpenAI) under your account, and nowhere else.

How do I back it up, or move to a new computer?

Settings > Backups > Download a backup gives you everything as one file. On the new computer, open the Command Center, paste your key, then Settings > Restore from a backup. Or copy the "Command Center" folder (or "Joy Looper Toolkit", if that is the one you have) across. Transactions, contacts, subscribers and posts also export as spreadsheets (CSV) from each tool.

What if Joy Looper cannot be reached?

It keeps working for 14 days and checks again on its own. If your account ends, the Command Center locks - but your data stays yours, and "Download a backup" still works.

How do I update it?

Your Command Center tells you on its home screen when a new version is out. Download it here, close the old one, and open the new one. It finds your data where it left it. A new piece that comes with an update is switched on if you took everything, or waits under Add more if you picked yours.

I have the Joy Looper Toolkit. Is this different?

It is the same program, renamed, with Customers, Sponsors, Media, the home screen and Ask added. Download it here, close the Toolkit, and open the Command Center: your key and everything you had in Books, Social, Outreach and Email are already there. You can then delete the old JoyLooperToolkit program (not the "Joy Looper Toolkit" data folder).

Can I make a new license key?

Yes - "Make a new key" above. The old key stops working straight away, so paste the new one into your Command Center (Settings > Use a different key).
